100 Most Influential Lawyers in America (National Law Journal, 2006-2013)
The National Law Journal honored our executive director and co-founder, Kyle McEntee, as one of the 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America. The list was first published in the 1980's and considers accomplishments since 2006, the last time the list was published. The NLJ selected lawyers who shape the legal world through their work, at the negotiating table, in the classroom or in government. Kyle is the youngest ever on the list and was one of just three non-profit lawyers named to the NLJ 100 in 2013. He was selected because of his media clout and thought leadership in the movement for greater law school transparency. The lawyers were chosen by the NLJ's editors, aided by nominations from the legal community and research by the reporting staff. They asked several key questions to help judge the influence of lawyers profiled: How deep were their political connections?; what kind of results did they achieve for clients?; how far and how effective was their media reach?; have they been business leaders?; are they thought leaders on important legal issues? The NLJ's goal, in the end, was to identify members of the law's power elite.

Award of Merit (Iowa State Bar Association, 2019)
For Kyle McEntee and Kyle Fry's work on law student debt and diversity initiatives, they co-received this award. The Iowa State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Award of Merit was created in 1975 for the purpose of recognizing extraordinary service to the legal profession and / or the association. This award may be given to recognize an especially meritorious deed for service which significantly advances the goals of the legal profession or the ISBA. It may also be given to recognize the long-standing, exemplary service of a recipient to the legal profession or the ISBA.
